How to create 2D annotations and ROIs?

In Onis 2.0, you can create various kinds of annotation and region of interest in any image of a series:

  • Measure
  • Angle
  • Line
  • Polyline
  • Rectangle
  • Ellipse
  • Polygon
  • Pen
  • Arrow
  • Text

Any annotation or region of interest can be duplicated in the same or another series and automatically propagate in all other images of the series it belongs to.
At anytime, you can modify their attributes such as color, position, size, etc...

To create an annotation or a region of interest, you first need select the annotation or the ROI tool. You have 3 different ways to select it:

  • By the "2D Annotations" toolbar of the 2D Viewer window
  • By the menu of the 2D Viewer window
  • By the context sensitive popup toolbar


By the "2D Annotations" toolbar of the 2D Viewer window:

  1. Move your mouse cursor on the type of 2D annotations or ROI that you want to create. You can see the type written just under this toolbar.
  2. Click on the left button of your mouse to select it.



By the top menu of the Viewer window:

  1. Open the "Annotations" menu, in the top menu of the 2D Viewer window.
  2. Open the "2D annotations" sub-menu.
  3. Select the type of annotation or ROI you want to create in the list.
    Note:
      When you have selected an annotation or ROI tool, the mouse cursor will be displayed as a cross when it will be placed above an image in a display area.

By the context menu

  1. Keep your mouse above an image of a series in a display area and click on the right button of your mouse. A context menu will appear under your mouse cursor.
  2. Move the mouse cursor on the "2D annotations" sub-menu to open it.
  3. Click on your choice: Measure, Angle, Line...
