How do I specify where the images should be stored?

When images are imported into the local database, images will be stored into a folder of your hard disk. To modify the location of this folder, follow the steps described below:

  1. Open the preferences panel (click on the "Preferences" button in the database page).
  2. Select the "Administration" category.
  3. Select the "Paths" page.

  4. To modify the settings, all the existing servers must be stopped first. If necessary, go the the "Servers" category and shutdown all the running servers.
  5. Click on the primary path button and select a new folder. The primary path defines the folder in which the imported images will be stored. You may modify also the secondary, albums, temporary files, log files,and reports folders. The secondary folder defines where the images the images will be stored when modified. The albums, temporary files, log files and reports folders define where the albums, temporary files, log files, and reports will be stored respectively on your computer.
  6. You may restart the local server and the other available servers (DICOM and Remote).
