How to create and modify a parallel?

You can create parallels on annotations composed of segments: line, polyline, polygon, measure, angle and rectangle.


Creation of a parallel:

  1. Select one segment by clicking on it with the left mouse button. When a segment is selected, some green circles are displayed around its points. (Multiple segments can be selected by clicking on the left mouse button while holding the 'Shift' key. You can unselect segments by clicking on it while holding the 'Ctrl' key.)
  2. Click on the "2D Actions" button of the 2D Viewer window. A menu will appear under your mouse cursor.
  3. Click on "Parallel".

 

    You can also create a parallel by 2 others methods: by the top menu of the 2D viewer window, or by the context menu.

Modify the parallel position:

  1. Select the parallel object by clicking on it with left mousse button. When a parallel object is selected, you can see two green circles at the extremities of the parallel.
  2. Bring your mouse above the parallel (outside any green circles), press the left mouse button and hold it.
  3. While holding the left mouse button, drag your mouse to move the position of the parallel object.
  4. Release the left mouse button.




Modify the extremity points of the parallel:

  1. Select the parallel object by clicking on it with left mousse button. When a parallel object is selected, you can see green circles at the extremities of the parallel.
  2. Bring your mouse above one green circle of the parallel extremity, press the left mouse button and hold it.
  3. While holding the left mouse button, drag your mouse to move the extremity of the parallel.
  4. Release the left mouse button.




Modify the orthogonal position:

  1. Select the parallel object by clicking on it with left mousse button. When a parallel object is selected, you can see green circles at the extremities of the parallel and its orthogonal.
  2. Bring your mouse above one green circle of the orthogonal extremity, press the left mouse button and hold it.
  3. While holding the left mouse button, drag your mouse to move the orthogonal position.
  4. Release the left mouse button.
