I have a low memory computer, will Onis run fine?

If you don't have a lot of memory, you can ask Onis to use low memory when displaying images.

To change the memory configuration, follow these instructions:

  1. Firstly, you need to open the "Preferences" window. There are 3 possibilities to open it:
    • If you are on the "viewer" window, open the "Annotations" menu, in the top menu of the 2D Viewer window. Then, click on the "Preferences" sub-menu.

    • If you are on the "Database" window, click on the "Preferences" button.

    • In any window, use the combination of 'Ctrl' and 'P' keys (Press the 'Ctrl' key and hold it. While holding the 'Ctrl' key, hit the 'P' key).

  2. After opening the "Preferences" window, click on "environment" tab, on the left side of the window.

  3. On the top side of the window, click on "general" button.

  4. Under the "Others" title, click on the "Optimize for" combo box to open it.

  5. Choose between "Low memory consumption" or "Speed".

    • Note: When optimizing for low memory consumption, you may notice a slower displaying of images.

  6. Close the "Preferences" window.
